A single snowflake drifted from the sky. Then another. And another, until the snow was a steady, thin sheet trying to make its home on the ground. The air was frigid, and the wind had just dropped from its usual bluster to just a steady breeze. She wasn't intent on exiting the den, but the voice that rang out of its owner as he started at the snow may make her. " Wow mommy! Look at this stuff! What is it? Can i touch it?" Rushfur let out a mrreow of amusement at her sons curiousity. "Sleetkit, this is snow. And if this keeps up, the whole moor will be white with it. Its not dangerous at all." Sleetkit gazed at her in amazement, his soft, white and gray splotched pelt fluffed up in excitement. She couldn't help but think how he looked just like his father.
Rushfur got up and stretched, her forepaws out in front of her. "Its a nice day for leaf-bare. Lets go out." Almost before the words were out of her mouth, Sleetkit raced out into the clearing by the den, jumping around as the snow fell steadily. A few flakes landed on his nose, and he sneezed, a smile on his face. Rushfur stepped out, her gray striped coat well groomed. The day was promising to be calm, though cold. She stretched, looking around camp. WindClan was the clan for her, with its wide open moores and chilly land.
Sleetkit raced up to her, a soft, determined look in his eyes. "Momma, when i get older, i wanna help other cats." His eyes lit up, and Rushfur smiled warmly. "Maybe the Medicine cat will let you help when your old enough." Sleetkit smiled, his eyes bright, before he returned to hunting snowflakes, stalking, then jumping before they touch the ground at them. The queen sighed, content.

Dusk-kit slowly poked her head out of the her nest to see who was speaking. She assumed it was Sleetkit speaking to his mother as they were the only others who seemed to be awake.
As the gray and white kit exited the den, she felt her paws tug her forwards and in moments she was outside as well. She stared blankly at the small snowflakes that fluttered down from the sky and let out a sneeze as one landed on her nose.
"Hi, Sleetkit," she said padding over to sit beside him. "Whacha doing?"

Sleetkit Sleetkit turned to the new voice to see Dusk-kit, one of the other kits. He bounded forward, then came back to the black kit. She had a distinctive white chest and fore-paws. "Look at this stuff! Its so fluffy and fun to play in! But its cold; oh well!" He said with his enthusiasm making his eyes bright. "You should try it." With that, he pawed the air a little as a snowflake drifted past. "My mom said it would cover all of the territory if it kept falling!" Though older than Dusk-kit by a moon or so, he tended to be a little more excitable than most. Though he was smart and calm at times, every kit gets excited.
Rushfur Rushfur smiled towards the small black she-kit. She had heard about her half-clan heritage, and usually would have disapproved of the kit, but she always made Sleetkit happy, and as long as he was happy, she was happy. Her green eyes glittered with amusement as she remembered her kit days of constant energy.

Dusk-kit looked at Sleetkit, then at the snowflakes that were falling. She didn't see how the tiny flakes would be that much fun, truthfully. And the kit was right-they were cold-cold enough to send a shiver down her spine. But he seemed to be having fun, so if he was enjoying it, then she could as well.
"Okay," she said before reaching out a forepaw to swipe at one of the white bits as it came by. She missed it however and the force of her swipe sent it fluttering away.
Though one could easily lose sight of it amongst the rest of the snow, she could see it clearly and went racing after it. With each failed attept at catching it, she gritted her teeth harder. In the end, she lunged forward hoping to catch, but it was to no avail. In a matter of moments, there she was, laying on her back, the snowflake out of site.
"Fox dung," the black and white kit hissed, getting to her paws.

Sleetkit flinched at the kits frustration. "You aren't supposed to say those words, my mom says," He murmured, before trotting up to her and looking down, his head over hers. "You gotta not really focus on one. Just try to get whichever ones you can!" He reared up, swiping at them, to no avail. "It's ok if you don't like it. We can do something else!" Sleetkits bright eyes showed only care. He loved to make others happy, especially his friends. "We can race, or climb the rocks or something." He sat down and licked down his ruffled fur real quick.
Over all, Sleetkit showed signs of being handsome when his features matured. He had a thick pelt, and the lean body of a WindClan cat, even if it was a little sturdier and better for battle. His long whispers twitched whenever a chilly snowflake landed on them, and the snow melted and rolled harmlessly of his thick kitten fur. He curled his tail, but was barely able to sit still with the energy the snow gave him.
Rushfur purred and said "As long as you don't leave camp!" She was always worrying, but this time, she turned and went back into the nursery, watching the kits through the branches.
((lol my energy and hyperness effects the hyperness of my characters and their energy X3))

Dusk-kit shrugged as he spoke. "Daddy says that all the time," she explained. The kit listened as he explained how he did it and she was sure this time she would catch one. "'Kay, let me try again."
The small she-cat narrowed her eyes and tried to focus. When she spotted one, it's frozen beauty a sight to behold, she leap in the air and scooped it into her grasp.
"I got it! I got it!" she cried happily, bouncing up and down. "I got it! I got it... I... don't got it..." The snowflake she had tried to grasp was floating away in the breeze. She opened her mouth to say 'fox dung' again, but decided against it. Perhaps it wasn't the best thing to say.
Instead she sat there in the snow for a few moments pouting. "Yeah, let's play something else!" she cried suddenly, jumping to her paws. She was usually very calm, not straying from the nursery, but today she was like any other kit-a ball of fluff and energy. "I'll climb up there," she said pointing to a rock on the other side of the camp, "and you try to knock me down. If you knock me down then you win and you get to climb up and I try to knock you down. If you can't knock my down, though, I win and you get to play..." A devious grin spread across her black and white face and she leaned in close. "A punishment game..." she said in a hushed voice.
"Come on; let's go!"

The white and grey kit watched as Dusk-kit hit at a flake, but to no avail. She suggested doing something else. "Ok." The little tom waited.
Sleetkit mewed with energy. "Ok!" The little black and white she-kit had quite a fun idea, he mused. He waited for her to get up there, and the game to begin. He hated the cold moons. But, ever since about 7 days ago, the weather had lost some of its frigid grip. The claws of leaf-bare were slowly retreating, and the plants awaited the safest time to breach. "Ready!" He mewled.
