Right on the edge of the ThunderClan's territory, where tame, Twoleg claimed territory bled together with wild, cat-ruled forest, walked a figure, silent and watchful. A long, lithe tom with fur the colour of morning mist, cut through and decorated with stripes of a colour that of morning's bright rays, the red accenting the pale in a mixture that would otherwise seem impossible. Ghost frequently wandered these boarders- he could very well scent the forest cats, but he didn't seem to mind much. He was still on his side, and as long as they stayed on theirs, he wouldn't shed blood. Much. A mouse darted across the scent line, barreling blindly towards him, and he gave a mighty pounce, snapping its neck, a flicker of amusement lighting his venom green eyes, If the cats are as dopey as their prey, I might as well wander right-on-in. But Ghost possessed respect, and wouldn't intrude.
A yawn gaped his muzzle, and not wanting the mouse to go to waste, he buried it. He'd come back for it later, when he was hungry. He was a good hunter, and fed himself well, even in the dead of leafbare, refusing to rely on the slop his twolegs left outside, offering it up to the neighborhood kittypets. Despite, technically, being a kittypet himself, he bore scars and marks of a loner or a rouge, and turned away from the softness of twolegs, the only mark of his ownership being a green collar around his neck, the dangling bell and tags having long been ripped off by countless adversaries.
His eyes drifting around, ears pricked for any sound, and checking the air for any scent, he only caught old scents of ThunderClan, and fresh, bright forest scents. Unsheathing his claws, he darted up the nearest tree, stretching out along his bare branch, but keeping himself in the shadows of the trunk. He was an unusual kittypet indeed, more loner than anything, and now, what he wanted in life, was excitement, and maybe if he stuck around the border and faced a few of those beastly clan cats, he'd have a chance at that. Any chance at all.

The suns rays drifted to the ground all around, lighting and warming whatever was in its reach- but only slightly. It was the time of year that her twoleggers called 'Winter', her mother had told her. It was unpleasant to any short furred cat. That went for Luna. The soft, plump house cat had been staring out the window for a good hour or so. She hated this weather, but she just couldn't stand to be copped up any longer. With a final mewl of indecision, she leaped down and pushed through the cat flap. The breeze brought another shot of the frigid air, and she fluffed out her short fur.
Eyes traveling, she thought about where to wander today. Luna took a few trotting steps, and heartbeats later, had raced along the edge of the yard, and leaped, claws out, for the fence. She dug her hind claws into the cold wood and pulled herself up, licking her coat. She was young, but ever since her birth, she had been curious. The fur on her face was blown back, and that included the white crescent moon in the middle. Her mother had said she was special, and she deserved her mark.
Not many moons ago, Luna had wandered down the alley behind her house. She had met a lone cat, who attacked her. She got away unscathed, and met up with the old tom a few days later. his parting words echoed through her mind." 'You would be strong enough to hold you own against an apprentice.'" She said out loud. What did it mean? The traces of a cat blew by, but she was so deep in thought she didn't notice at first. After a moment more, there was a soft thud as her soft paws hit the ground. The coal black house cat looked at the immense span of tall trees.
She felt oddly drawn towards the forest. The words echoing in her mind, Luna took tentative paces towards the forest, her unique, light green eyes full of wonder. Her pink collar rubbed slightly, and her bell jangled treacherously as she went forward.

He had been completely wrapped up within his own thoughts, but through the rustling of wind in the leaves and cry of a lone bird, forgotten in the winter migrations, a soft, unnatural bell's jingling cause his eyes to snap to attention, staring down at the soft, plump kittypet, who was staring, mesmerized forward, her paws moving, dream-like into the forest.
Ghost wasn't a nice cat, but he wasn't a cold-blooded, evil cat either- he knew ThunderClan wouldn't take well to a kittypet like this wandering into their territory. He sat himself up, claws digging into the bark as she wandered slowly closer to the scent line that would bring her into their clutches. One kind part inside of him shuddered and he knew he should at least tell this cat where she was going, if she would even care at all. He waited until she was almost directly under his branch, and made his decision. With a silent leap, and a muted landing, he landed a few steps in front of her, pale green eyes cold and serious, although his body was relaxed and calm, looking like a ghost that had just wandered from the afterlife to spread his message.
"If you value yourself," He started, eyes drifting over her- seeing nothing but soft, spoiled kittypet, "You'd go back to your owners now- and not stay out here." Before she could protest, he sat, and flicked his tail behind him," A few more steps that way, and you're in the wild cats territory, "ThunderClan" and I don't think they'll take too kindly to a soft housecat wandering aimlessly in their territory."

Luna has lowered herself into a crouch a little, curiosity making her whiskers quiver. A heartbeat before the cat touched down, she caught his scent and had jumped and moved back, fur bristling. A cat had dropped, and if she had believed in a cat returning from death, she would have assumed that. Luna's fear scent was strong as the big cat spoke. But he told her to go back. Also, that assuming look in his eyes made her bristle slightly, but not with fear. She stopped shaking, and her fear scent went away a little.
This new cat didn't look exactly like the house cats in the gardens nearby, more like the lone cats her mother had told her about. A image of the old gray tom flashed in her eyes as he continued to speak. The words raced through her, and stirred some deep instinct. This feeling...what is it? she wondered. "ThunderClan? Wild cats?" She said, a new look of interest in her green pools. She allowed herself to relax a little.
Luna sat down. "Are you from 'ThunderClan'?" She asked tentatively. The tom was still in her memory, and she began to wonder as she remembered the fierceness of the cat. She still remembered when she had turned at the last moment and clawed his face, the move coming unspoken, and a thrill coursing through her. She had a curious look on her face, and one that said she wouldn't leave till she learned more.

He seemed oddly satisfied as she straightened and her paralyzing fear seemed to subside a bit, the curiosity in her eyes oddly amusing to him. It was obvious that the kittypet wasn't so content with her pampered life, and the young tom rolled his shoulders in a shrug. "Yep. Wild cats- everyone's heard of them."He uttered with a sigh, ears twitching when she eagerly asked if he was from ThunderClan. He looked back toward the dense forest, emotion darkening his eyes slightly. What was that? Longing? He pondered for a moment why he so often wandered these borders. Want? He may have been a lone kittypet himself, but even he found discontent in his life. He wanted the cool forest, the thrill of a hunt... belonging? He snapped his head back forward, pushing the emotions as far as he could, yet they prospered, and regretfully, he shook his gray head.
"ThunderClan cats are wild, born and bred in the forest, for what I've been told." He somberly met her gaze, no longer hostile or bitter, as he normally was. "I was born a kittypet, and became a loner." A fierce shake cleared his head, "You're different, for a kittypet. What made you wander out here anyway?" On some occasions, Ghost enjoyed company, and this she-cat was his first in awhile, so he figured he'd pick up the conversation, not willing to grant himself another longing glance toward the cool forest.

brilliantSTAR He needed a walk. Something to get his mind off the endless worry: would there be enough food; if the other Clans would attack; mindless rogues wandering the territory. Brilliantstar had been leader of ThunderClan for a few moons now, ever since the start of leaf-fall. He had led his Clan through a long, snowy, bitterly cold winter (to the elders, it had been the coldest ever.). Now it was the end of leafbare, thanks StarClan. Newleaf was approaching, but slowly, and the snows had not thawed from the ground yet.
The young tom shook his head as he padded out of camp. He was starting to sound like the elders, all this worrying. Brilliantstar strolled through the forest, not really paying attention to where he was going. The snow was about halfway up to his belly fur, and that made walking slightly difficult. The ThunderClan leader flicked his shimmering black tail nervously. Would there be more snow?
--
At last, he was nearing Twolegplace. Sometimes he went here, just to see what life would be like as a kittypet. Always curious. But this time, Brilliantstar scented something else. Cats. Two of them, one a tom, one a she-cat. And both kittypets by their scents. Not a huge threat. He would fix it. After all, he thought with uncontained relish, I AM the leader of ThunderClan.
A strong fear scent from the she-cat filled the air. Brilliantstar hid in the bushes, listening with a strange intensity to the conversation.
The leader glanced curiously at the tom. He was almost loner-like, the way he acted. Strange. Curious. Maybe he didn't eat that Twoleg slop? But that meant he was eating prey, and ThunderClan already had too many mouths to feed.
"No, this tom is not from ThunderClan." Brilliantstar would not hold his tongue any more. The she-cat intrigued him, making him wonder why she ventured so far into the forest. The bell on her pink collar tinkled pitifully. Ugh. Kittypets. "However," he continued smoothly, inclining his head ever so slightly, "I am of service there. I am the leader of ThunderClan, and my name is Brilliantstar."
Brilliantstar turned towards the tom. "I smell prey-scent on you. Have you been stealing prey from ThunderClan? We have many mouths to feed in leafbare, and we cannot afford a kittypet to waste it as a plaything or a snack."
The ginger tom sat down, then, and curled his black tail around his paws. His amber eyes flicked curiously over the she-cat and the tom, the greenish-gray-golden eyes pivoted on them both.

Before he could get an answer, a voice behind him made his ears twitch, but he moved on his own accord, facing the ginger tom with an even, emotionless gaze, rising to his paws, yet despite his demeanor, at the cat's introduction, dipped his head. He was a loner, and not entirely a kind cat, but he knew respect and gave it when he knew necessary. "Hello, Brilliantstar." He meowed evenly, but the large wild-cat turned on him, accusation in his eyes, although his voice seemed to feign a calm air. Ghost didn't let it shake him, and kept silent until the words stopped flowing. "You have me mistaken for a normal kittypet, Brilliantstar. I'm a loner, I catch my own food and don't rely on the twolegs to feed me," He stated, his eyes never leaving the ThunderClan leader's.
"If I'm not mistaken, Brillianstar, your Clan's scent-markers clearly end there." His gaze drifted, and he flicked his tail to where the scent was heavily condensed along the line of trees, and he re-focused on the ginger tom. "The prey I catch, however, is always what wandered outside of those lines, and into Twolegplace, which again, if I'm not mistaken, has no claim for anyone, but is for the Kittypets and Loners. It was anyone's, and therefor, rightfully mine since I hunted it myself." He nodded his head, sitting as well, his gaze glancing to the she-cat, then back to Brilliantstar, burning with life, and little emotion. He knew upsetting the tom would leave him with a few wounds, but none he couldn't afflict back- but fighting this tom would be more trouble than it was worth, so he stayed neutral, and on the best terms he could. "I'm a loner working for what he can get, but I'm not one to steal from another cat's territory."

brilliantSTAR Brilliantstar flicked his tail nervously. He could win a fight against this cat, no doubt about it, but he chose not to. What was the use of blood? His past flooded over him suddenly, violent images of his mother slaughtering his brother, and mutilating his other brother. Blood soaking into the ground. Wailing, endless wailing, and Duskfeather turning on him next, hatred in her eyes --
The ThunderClan cat had to dig his claws into the frozen ground and bite his tongue to stop from wailing his own anguish. He let his eyes briefly betray his grief, but he soon banished all emotion from his face. These two kittypets -- there was proof that the tom was s kittypet, no matter what he denied -- knew nothing, nothing, about pain, grief, anguish. Nothing.
Concentrating on reality, Brilliantstar replied to the kittypet/loner/whatever's defense, using his most convincing voice. He had that special gift, his smooth, honey-like voice winning over everybody. He hated using it, but... "Actually, anything that roams the forest could be called ours. After all, prey doesn't stay in one place." He chuckled softly. "It runs in and out of borders, so, technically, the prey is yours AND ours. I was just giving you a small reminder, kittypet." Before the tom could pick up his defense, he said, "You ARE a kittypet, whatever you deny. Your collar proves that." He flicked his tail lazily at the bright green thing around the tom's neck.
Brilliantstar sighed. "Such a shame!" he exclaimed, glancing at the startlingly black she-cat next to him. "We have not said each other's names. How rude. Who may you be, tom? And who is this other kittypet to whom you were talking with?" His eyes were blank, emotionless, no anger or fear or curiosity. Just...nothing.

Whatever happened next was a series of strange, shocking events. A moment or so after the tom's reply, a big, ginger-pelted tom emerged from the forest line. This caused her to flinch slightly, but she kept a brave face. This was the leader of the 'clan'? Luna wasn't sure she was getting this all, but she tried to understand. Luna was not as stubborn as some, and as she realized the rank of this cat, she lowered herself slightly. She listened to the two toms speaking. The orange pelted one called himself Brilliantstar. What a strange name! Luna mused.
" I'm Luna. My momma calls me that because the crescent moon mark on my head..." She trailed off, and shuffled her paws a little as she seated herself. She paused as her fur began to bristle a little again. "You say kittypet as if its a bad thing...are we that? Bad? Unimportant? Spoiled? That tom mentioned something about 'apprentices'. That in your so called 'clan'?" Luna said, head staring straight down, masking her eyes. She was known to speak her feelings, and this was an instance.
When Luna looked back up, she had a fiery light in her cool green eyes. Determination burned in those pools, and confidence and respect replaced any fear. "I may be a 'kittypet', i may not know what the wild life is like, hunting mice all the time, and with others..." She paused. She wasn't sure she should continue. What if the tom got mad? Her siblings weren't here, or her mother. They were probably looking for her, though. Luna managed to hold the gaze of this cat, Brilliantstar, though she was unsure how he would react to her outburst.

Ghost's eyes flicked to Luna as she spoke, introducing herself, fear and respect in her eyes, as well as confusion. Once she had introduced herself, he looked respectfully back to Brilliantstar. "And I am Ghost." He dipped his head in greeting again, "But as I respect you, I simply ask the courtesy to not be undermined as a kittypet. I wear a collar for the sake I don't have the ability to do so myself. I haven't lived with twolegs since I was weaned." It was his only comment, not willing to continue an argument over his hunting rights.
Ghost returned to a sitting position, wrapping his tail over his paws, and glancing back at Luna, the black she-cat still seemingly curious as she blurted out her questions, yet a sort of fear lingered in her body as she seemed to shrink away from the mighty ginger tom. Ghost would admit, even he felt a respect for the tom, enough so that he kept his malice in check, staying neutral and calm, sounding as mature as he could, but Brilliantstar wasn't the only one he had sudden respect for. The soft kittypet glanced up, fire in her eyes, and began to save her dignity, although she quickly trailed off, seeming to regret her outburst. He couldn't help but back her up, looking back at Brilliantstar with a calm meow, eyes turning lively, "Many think lowly of kittypets, for the contempt for them many cats share, for their soft, spoiled ways, Twolegs bending to their whims. They think lowly of loners too- disgraced cats that live by there on laws- but we're all cats, and some of them," His gaze darted between Luna and Brilliantstar, "Dream of better lives than what they lived, like myself. Call it a wanderlust. Cats are born into three lives; some into lives of pampering and comfort, some, into the streets where they live alone their lives, and if you dig deep enough to learn, some are born into the wild. Not all find content in their destined life." He closed his mouth and bit his tongue. Sometimes, he regretted his long-winded speeches, but he'd do anything to get his point across, and despite his confidence and strong spirit, he felt himself burn for a moment under his fur, until he brushed it away, and was able to once again face the cats with empty green eyes. Sometimes, being emotionless, for him, was better than giving away any feeling.

brilliantSTAR Brilliantstar pondered on Luna's and Ghost's words for a while. They were young cats with spirit. He couldn't deny that. Defending themselves against his accusations against kittypets. Most normal kittypets would run away at those, but these two stood their ground. He narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.
The ThunderClan leader answered to Luna first. "In ThunderClan, to be a kittypet is to be a disgrace. Most of the Clan feels lowly about them. However," he added quickly, "I am not one of them. They are prejudicing against our own kind, something that, in my mind, is wrong.
"I have heard tales of the Clan before. Tales that are so old, even our elders great-grandparents did not know these cats. There is a tale of one cat, a tom with the pelt of flame, who was a kittypet. The leader at the time, an old she-cat named Bluestar, heard of a prophecy that "fire would save the Clan." She took these words to heart and allowed the green-eyed, flame-pelted kittypet to join her Clan. She named him Firepaw.
"Firepaw had many adventures. Barely 12 moons, he had received his warrior name, Fireheart. He because deputy after that, already knowing grief and hardship. A young, but wise, warrior, Fireheart was.
"The old leader Bluestar died, leaving Firestar to now take her place. The warriors all knew that he was a kittypet. But having pure warrior blood does not mean you're a good warrior, and having kittypet blood does not mean you're a soft, pampered, Twoleg-loving animal."
As Brilliantstar finished his little speech, he then added softly, "My brother was named after Firestar. He supposedly looks exactly the same, only with clear blue eyes, blue as the sunny sky." Pain cracked his voice as he talked about his mutilated brother. Duskfeather... The name lingered in his mind. The name forbidden to speak of ever again. He let his anguish for his brother show clear as day in his eyes, so that these cats knew what he was feeling.
There was pain and sympathy in his eyes as he glanced at Luna. "Apprenticeship, you are asking about? Well, an apprentice is a warrior-to-be. These cats range from 6 moons to 12 moons, depending on how much training they have had. They take care of the elders and learn to find their true place in the Clan." The leader paused, tilting his head a bit to the side, pondering.
"You both have a fiery spirit, you, Ghost, and you, Luna. I wish we had cats like you in the Clan...
Now, don't take this harshly, okay? It is just a question. Would you like to join ThunderClan? We are getting low on apprentices, and leafbare is almost over... Do not take this lightly." A slight edge colored his tone. "You will experience hardship in a Clan. And once you leave your kittypet life, you can never come back. It's a big decision, but... I think it's the right one."
Brilliantstar betrayed his nerves by flicking his tail back and forth, waiting impatiently for their answers.

Ghost found himself completely engulfed in the story, listening with an unbound attentiveness, eyes locked on Brilliantstar and never drifting. The ginger tom fell silent for a moment, then his bright eyes fixed onto the two, and he had a sudden decision in them, his next comments shocking even the placid Ghost. Invited to join them? He would have never imagined it, and it caused him to pause, thinking it over. He turned his head, looking toward twolegplace, quiet and cold in winter, dusted with snow, but when he looked back toward the ginger tom and the equally white forest, there was no question in his mind and his eyes were focused, "I myself cannot find contentedness, nor any sense of comrade with the Loners and Kittypets in Twolegplace. I humbly accept your offer, Brilliantstar."
His gray head dipped respectfully again, and he just barely contained his excitement- he was curious for this new life, and was oddly ready for every hardship, and the effort that would come in trying to live a life he was only somewhat accustomed to- and for him, he was grateful that he wasn't the only new cat joining the clan, since most cats would view him as a "kittypet", he'd need at least someone to know otherwise- he also knew he had to rely on himself to prove to be more than the collared kittypet the world saw him as, but nor was it time to prove to others that he was a loner- he'd have to prove he was something entirely different, something he wasn't by blood, but something by choice- he had to prove he was a clan cat, and he had to be prepared for the effort it would be.

brilliantSTAR The ginger tom blinked. Was he serious? Ghost was actually accepting his offer? He didn't think it would've been so easy.
Brilliantstar dipped his head, a great respect from the leader. "Thank you," he replied. He gave a small laugh. "I didn't think it would be so easy to convince you. But... your collar. I'm afraid you'll have to take that off, since we, er, don't allow those in the Clan, if that makes sense." The ThunderClan cat shuffled his paws nervously. Would the ghostly cat now deny coming to ThunderClan? Ghost would be a valuable warrior.
He turned to Luna, his green-golden-silver gaze resting on her midnight pelt. "Luna?" he asked. "Would you like to join with Ghost?" His black tail twitched.

Luna's eyes were transfixed, so as her thoughts. Tales of cats roaming the woods, living together, being led under amazing rulers...This was so new, and something stirred again inside her.
Luna's heartbeat quickened, reminding her of the mice she used to stalk. Join the clan? be apart of a Clan..? Her bell jingled into her thoughts. Could she really leave this soft life, always full-fed, almost always warm...? Luna looked down at the soft pink collar. Ghost, the silvery toms name, had accepted Brilliantstar's offer. Now it was her turn. She paced back and forth for a moment. The thrills...the times to share with others...
Luna stopped. She had made up her mind. "Luna!" She heard her mothers soft voice calling from the yard. At first she ignored it. But then, the silver tabby appeared on the fence, looking the other way. Luna moved towards the forest, her black pelt sticking out against the white layout. "Ok. I accept. Thank you, Brilliantstar." Luna dipped her head respectfully. She would take her collar off after reaching the forest. A pang of sorrow and guilt pierced her fragile heart.
Her mother called one last time, before jumping back. "Hang on a moment." She mewed softly. Luna trotted up to her fence and leaped atop it. There was a sharp silver thing stuck in the fence from random passing by twolegs. Luna took a chance, and slid down the fence. She got her big collar caught on it, and pulled back and down. The collar was loose, and in a moment she had tumbled to the earth, her collar having rebounded and landing in her yard.
The midnight kittypet returned to them, confidence in her eyes." She will understand. All kits leave their mother to live elsewhere; maybe she will think that happened." Luna lowered her eyes a little, but she knew that this life was much better for her; she would have never been satisfied and had wandered here sooner or later.
The silvery house cat sat looking out the window, a tear in her eye. "Grow up strong like your father, Blackear..."
((ooh, Luna's mysterious origins~!~! XD))

Ghost make no response, watching as Luna seemed to slip deep into her own thoughts, and with a sudden change, agreed to Brilliantstar as well, then bound backwards, up a fence, down, and tear off her collar, leaving it dangling on the fence behind her for not even a heartbeat, the elasticity kicking in and flinging the bright pink band back into the yard below,as she again joined them. He blinked, glancing at Brilliantstar, then shook himself, climbing the tree beside him with a familiar ease, resting back on his haunches and leaning into a jutting branch, feeling the stiff wood slid between the collar and his fur, and with a final, strong yank, it was over his head, and hanging from the tree.
He leaped down, landing gracefully, and silently at Brilliantstar's side, the cold breeze ruffling his neck fur for the first time in a long while, the collar behind the only feeling he had ever known there. He bent his head, and gave his neck and chest fur a few smoothing licks to ease it down, then once again regained his almost regal posture, taking a place next to Luna, facing their new leader, amusement almost visible in his green eyes, "I believe its up to you to lead us to where we're going now, Brilliantstar." He suggested, flicking his tail, not even looking up to where the bright green fabric dangled frailly from the tree, a reminder of his past he was willingly going to leave behind him, one he had been ready to leave for a long while.

brilliantSTAR The forest: His home. He loved the exhilarating feeling of the cold wind in his fur, and the knots of tension inside him seemed to melt away as he ran home. Ghost was right behind him, he knew by scent. Luna was farther off, but still there, following them, her pawsteps heavier. She's a little plump, he mused. Well, she'll soon loose some of that extra weight.
Brilliantstar suddenly halted to a bone-shuddering stop. He almost forgot where he was; he had almost leaped over the cliff to the ravine, only about five fox-lengths ahead of him.
"Whoa! Stop!" he yowled, trying to get Ghost's & Luna's attention before they ran over the ravine.

Ghost nodded as Brilliantstar answered, turned, and in a fiery explosion of fur and muscle, pelted into the forest. Ghost couldn't help but twitch excitedly, flexing his claws, and eyed the forest eagerly. So wild, so so new, so... It was his new home now. He didn't even glance over his shoulder as he leaped after his leader, paws silent in the snow, hardly sinking it to it at the speed he went, determined to catch up to Brilliantstar.
There was nothing left for him in twolegplace. His friends would understand, he had been yanked from his family, and the old tom that had raised him, was dead. He felt a tinge of grief for that old mentor- and gratefulness as well. If not for the loner, Scratch, telling him stories of the fabled forest cats- seeming as if he had known them in person with the detail he gave, Ghost would have never begun trailing ThunderClan's border, watching for any sign of clan cats running free. He himself, wouldn't be running free, wild now, collar gone, behind a massive ginger tom to join his new Clanmates in their home.
He was very soon right behind Brilliantstar, his breath coming in clouds of air before his muzzle as they raced through the frozen forest, leaping over fallen logs, and skirting boulders. There was suddenly a drastic change that he noticed, however. Here and there, snow was showing to have been dislodged, pawprints that were not his, nor Brilliantstar's showing, and a scent of cat was forming and growing stronger. He knew he was approaching his new home, and he had mixed emotions. Fear, solitude, excitement. He wasn't used to being around lots of other cats in one place, and one time, and that alone would be an experience, and something he'd need to quickly overcome.

Luna let out a mewl of alarm as Brilliantstar and Ghost sped into the forest. This was the speed of forest cats..? The young kittypet, no, she was now a member of the clan, raced after them. Her legs were shorter than some, and her size smaller than the average kit her age. Her soft paws slid and skittered in the snow, and she followed far behind. Ahead, she could just glimpse a Silver tail disappearing into the brush. Though she was slower, excitement coursing through her and giving her energy.
Luna's paws carried her to logs and ditches, which she had to scramble over or through. As she went along, she started to notice a few...different scents. Her heart thumped as she went along, joy on her tired face. Finally, she could see them again! Luna barely caught sight of the two toms, and she sped up, determined to to be out done. She was some ways behind. She hadn't run this much in her life at once, and her body was a little plump. "Where..." She asked herself as the cats scent grew.

brilliantSTAR The forest: His home.
{OOC: Again, it's short, because I have to leave right now. Otherwise I would write more.}

The silvery tom raced at his leaders side, sounds and scents growing louder, until suddenly, Brilliantstar yowled. He skidded to a halt, praying it was enough, but the ground was suddenly gone from under his front paws. He lashed out, claws scraping for any hold, but there was nothing, and the world around him lurched and rushed up as he fell down. His paws hit cold rock a coupe of tail lengths down, and the shock resonated through his bones, but quick to gather his dignity, he claws his way back up, and shook himself hard, returning to Brilliantstar's side. An earlier warning would have been nice He thought bitterly, giving his chest fur a few quick licks.
He turned his head, looking to the ravine he had almost toppled down. It was well protected, and he couldn't quite see the camp, or the cats within it from where they stood, but he could scent them heavily, as well as hear the soft meows of cats talking. He looked to Brilliantstar, "This is the camp, I'd suppose." It was more of a statement than a question, knowing for a fact, he recognized ThunderClan's scent, condensed here, and the presence of so many cats could only be their home.

Luna's legs carried her toward the ravine, and she was all to happy to oblige and stop. She trotted up as Ghost clawed his way back up the ravine, as if he had fallen. She stood by them, out of breath and eyes gleaming. Another shiver of excitement coursed through her, and her fur fluffed up. More scents hit her nose, and for a second, she felt like she was one of them. Technically, she was. But would her and Ghost be accepted? The tom beside her; she had already gotten used to Ghosts scent, and Brilliantstars sort of to.
Luna peered over the edge. "This is camp?" She asked, tilting her head as she watched. She was sure there was some movement...she wasn't sure. Her tail flickered and she opened her mouth to draw in the scents around her. She was ready as she would ever be.

Brilliantstar's heart lurched as Ghost fell over the side. "Are you okay?" he asked, as the tabby clawed his way back up. "I'm sorry I didn't give an earlier warning; I was slightly distracted."
He turned to Luna, nodding. "Yes, this is the camp. ThunderClan's home. When you follow me down the ravine, be careful and place your paws in exactly the same place that I place mine, okay? One mistake could be the end of you." The leader glanced nervously at Luna, who had a hard time keeping up on the journey. Would she be okay?
The ThunderClan tom shook out his fiery tabby pelt. "After you go down the ravine, let me go through first, and call the Clan to a meeting. When I call your names, then you can come and meet your new Clanmates. I don't want to startle them at first. Ready?" he queried, peering at them with his unusual amber-green-grey eyes.

Ghost was attempting vainly to gather his shredded dignity, but as neither cat seemed to care once he was certainly okay, he was able to flatten his fur, take a deep breath, and reassert himself. As Luna spoke, he watched her carefully, and Brilliantstar answered, assuring them both that this was ThunderClan's camp. He warned them to watch their paws when they went down, lest they would fall, and most likely die. He nodded his head, looking up at Brilliantstar, and back at the ravine, the scent and sound of cats exciting him.
He had never been around many cats in his short life, and even now, it both raised his excitement and curiosity Apprehension kicked in as even Brilliantstar suggested that they wait until he had warned the clan- but as he stated so it wasn't to startle them, he wondered if it was that, as well as to keep ThunderClan from chasing off the two new arrivals. Sighing, his green gaze flicked back to Brilliantstar, "You know what's best. I'm ready."

Brilliantstars warning sent a little shiver of fear through her. Luna looked down at her paws, and then her body, then to the lean body of Brilliantstar. She would have to work hard to get the extra weight off. She stood there, and tried to calm her fear. What if they think she's weak because she fears? A confident gleam stole into her thoughtful eyes. She would show them a 'kittypet' was as good as any cat!
She stood a little taller, focused for once. "Ready whenever." She replied, the wind blowing her strange crescent moon mark on her forehead. Luna peered down the ravine, then got ready. There were many strong cats down there. She would be one, to.
