Name: Lionclaw
Age: 25 moons
Rank: Warrior
Allegiance: Thunderclan
Picture:
Appearance: Lionclaw has a flaming orange pelt, sleek and soft to the touch. His fur is long in length with a tail that is just as furry. His eyes are a blazing amber in color, like fire. On his chest is a very unique, snow white spot in the dead center of his chest. Lionclaw's legs are long and muscular, it's easy to see the muscles working under the skin even through his thick fur. His legs can carry him very quickly from Point A to Point B. He is probably one of the fastest cats in the clan. His paws are snow white. They are the home of unusually long claws that could rip any cat to shreds, given the chance. They are sharper than the sharpest thorn and can inflict some serious damage, just like his sharp teeth. On his orange pelt are dark orange-brown stripes. They make Lionclaw a very odd looking cat.
Personality: Lionclaw is fiercely loyal to Thunderclan, and Thunderclan only. He lives strictly to the code because it means the world to him. He follows every rule of the code and makes sure others follow it as well. Lionclaw is a natural born leader because of this. He, like his siblings, like to help the deputy and clan leader that tasks are being completed and patrols are being put together. Lionclaw likes to spend a lot of his time not with other warriors, but the elders. Lionclaw enjoys hearing their stories, and enjoys even more, their words of wisdom. Lionclaw will do anything to help the elders, whether it be check for ticks and fleas, change their bedding, take herbs to them, you name it. Even if they snap at him angrily, he just can't keep himself away from the elders den. Lionclaw will sometimes even sleep in there with the elders and knows full well he would die to protect them.
History: Lionclaw was born into Thunderclan, her parents were Shadefur and Rosepetal. Rosepetal was a loving and devoted mother, but her father never played with Lionclaw and her brothers, her mother did the playing with Lionclaw, and Lionclaw, and Jaywing. Lionclaw and Jaywing were so closely bonded with Lionclaw, and Lionclaw so bonded with her brothers, that they went everywhere together, did everything together. They were closer to each other than they were to their parents. However, no matter how young Lionclaw was as a kit, she was the most mature and thoughtful of the litter. And nothing got past her.
When they were apprenticed, Lionkit became Lionpaw and his mentor was Bramblestar, the clan leader. He trained him hard, making sure he knew how to do every move perfectly. When he made a mistake, Lionpaw was corrected. Bramblestar was a kind warrior and leader. He helped Lionpaw with every move and every hunting stance. Lionpaw learned quickly and Bramblestar was proud of Lionpaw. But one day, during battle training, Lionpaw heard a yowl of pain. He knew instantly it was another cat in trouble, and before that, he knew it was his sister. He bolted from the clearning to help.
When they burst through the clearing to see what was going on with their sister, Lionpaw and Jaypaw, who wasn't far away and also came to help, saw Shadefur's paw on Blackpaw's neck, claws unsheathed and digging into her throat. Lionpaw threw himself at Shadefur and tried to knock him off balance. The warrior just threw Lionpaw away from him with a flick of his dark gray paw. Hearing the mentors, Shadefur let Lionpaw tackle him to the ground without a fight. When the other warriors finally entered the training hollow, they were shocked to see what Lionpaw was doing.
They saw Lionpaw with his claws unsheathed, raking his father's dark gray pelt. The warriors and leader ordered Lionpaw off and demanded his reason for attacking another warrior. When he tried to explain, they believed him a liar. Blackpaw could see that Lionpaw wanted her support, but she knew that her father would harm her if she spoke against him. When she said nothing, Lionpaw was herded back to camp for punishment. Jawpaw followed his mentor as well back to camp, leaving Blackpaw alone with her father once more. Shadefur got up and shook his coat before congratulating her lie.
Lionpaw finally became a warrior after five moons of training. He knew from the moment he turned into a warrior, that his father could no longer threaten Blackpelt. At the next gathering, Blackpelt spoke out of turn, revealing her father really was. "Shadefur is not who you think he is!" she yowled, joining the leaders where they sat above her and joined them so she could be seen by all the clans. When her leader tried to silence her, she ignored him and kept speaking. "During my apprenticeship, he threatened me. He scolded my harshly for every mistake I made."
She had continued her speech that she had run through her head so many times before the gathering. "Each beating was worse than the last. My brother, Lionclaw, had tried to save me from Shadefur, my own father! But I was wrong not to defend him when he was scolded by his mentor for attacking a senior warrior." Blackpelt sighed and glanced at her brother. "I knew it was wrong then, and I know it was wrong now. I do regret not aiding my brother, but I am standing here before you to say that Shadefur mustn't be trusted, ever!"
Blackpelt yowled the final words over the shocked mews of the cats below. But as she jumped down to rejoin her brothers Lionclaw and Jaywing, something thrust into her side, forcing the breath from her lungs. Towering above Blackpelt with all the fury of a thousand badgers in his icy blue eyes, Shadefur stood, pinning his own daughter to the ground. He struck her with unsheathed claws and she yowled with pain. But before Lionclaw and Jaywing could get to her, the leaders of all the clans already had. Shadowclan's leader and Riverclan's leader forced the senior warrior away easily.
Lionclaw's leader stood in front of the traitor with eyes like blue fire. Lionclaw rushed with Jaywing to help Blackpelt up. When she was on her paws again, Lionclaw turned in time to see his leader, Bramblestar, looking at Shadefur straight in the eyes, and what he said to Shadefur made Blackpelt beam with warm happiness and a feeling of protection provided by her leader. Bramblestar looked Shadefur in the eyes and banished him from all the clans. "You have been a good warrior when it came to fighting and hunting," Bramblestar said with anger, his amber eyes staring fiercely.
"But when a warrior of mine treats an apprentice with such cruelty, they will be punished. Shadefur, I Bramblestar, put you into exile for what you have done! If you ever show your face around here again, I give my warriors permission to kill you on sight." Bramblestar turned sharply and looked at Blackpelt with worried eyes. His medicine cat, Foxfoot, had finished looking over Blackpelt for injuries. When Bramblestar asked if she had gotten any, Foxfoot shook his head. Bramblestar looked at Shadefur once more. "Release him." he said calmly to the other leaders. They nodded curtly, releasing Shadefur.
Bramblestar noticed how the Windclan leader was crouched behind Shadefur, ready to pounce on the traitor if he dared to leap at Blackpelt again. But now, the Windclan leader sat tall and wrapped her tail around her paws. Shadefur didn't move a muscle as he stared angrily at Lionclaw and Blackpelt. Bramblestar could see Blackpelt was starting to get frightened and stepped between them. "Well, get out of clan territory! And don't come back." Bramblestar snarled as Shadefur turned to leave. Then he was gone. Later that night, Rosepetal snuck out of camp and disappeared without a trace. Since then, Lionclaw and his sister and brother have lived with Thunderclan as loyal warriors.
